June Wannahaves

Another month has flown by and there are many things my little hands want to get a hold of, but are too poor to grab. :( Here are my June Wannahaves!

TOMS Shoes. Everybody in NYC has them and I hear they're super comfy.

A keyboard cover for my greasy fingers whilst I'm eating and typing. In yellow. :)

I tried this Make Up For Ever blush at Sephora and I FELL IN LOVE. It's magnificent.

Too Faced Concealer. I need concealer period, but I trust Too Faced a lot for some reason.

Alex told me Water for Elephants the movie was amazing, so I bet the book is even more amazing!

May Wannahaves

So I'm thinking for a new segment of the blog is finding some things that I would really like to buy if I wasn't a poor intern living in New York. Here are my May Wannahaves (it's a little late!):

MAC 187 Duo Fibre Brush

Too Faced's Original Bronzed & Beautiful Bronzing Palette

Mint Nail Polish

Black Blazer

Big Diamond/CZ Tragus Earrings

Lip Stains

Super Shiny Lipgloss

Any beyouties have any tips or recommendations to their favorite products I've been dying to get my hands on this month? I need to know what's good and what's not. :)

Review: Too Faced Shadow Insurance Glitter Glue

Hey everybody! I'm finally back!! :) As an early present, my wonderful momma got me a MacBook Pro. I also just finished up my final exams and I'll be moving out to the Big Apple in 5 days! Which means... more blog time!

Now that I'm back, I can give a great review on Too Faced's Shadow Insurance Glitter Glue. For all my high schoolers reading, if you plan on using glitter on your eyes for your Prom day, you need to check this out!

Pro Prom Series: #4: Poppin' Crease

GUESS WHO IS FINALLY BACK!!!

I'm so sorry I've been neglectful. School has really been taking over my life these past couple of weeks and I've had really no time to blog. But, today I am back with a Pro Prom look!

It's a look I've really never seen done quite like this before, however, it is very simple to achieve. Hopefully you can see it good in the photo!

Pro Prom Makeup Series: #3: Bold Lips

Another Thursday! Which means another edition of the Pro Prom Makeup Series. For those who aren't a big fan of their eyes or heavy eye makeup, or more into old-school Hollywood glam, then this look is for you. Not accentuating your eyes, but your lucious lips.

Pro Prom Makeup Series #2: Gradients/Fades

I'm back with another edition to my Pro Prom Makeup series. A lot of girls LOVE to do fades and gradients with their dresses. I tried doing this with yellow and black for my prom (it didn't work out too good, I sucked back then lol). Anyways, you can do this look with really any color with multiple shades. I did this with blue, but I other colors I would recommend for this would be pink, purple, and green. Orange would be possible, but it all depends how many shades you can find. Yellow would be okay, but it's better to do just yellow to white unless you can find a lot of shades of yellow as well.

Review: eos Lip Balm

I've been a YouTube subscriber of Michelle Phan for about a year and a half, two years now. She had this egg shaped lip balm that I thought was so cute. Then a couple of weeks ago, as Ellen and I were getting ready, she had the exact lip balm! eos Lip Balm. I had to go out and buy some (especially because I have to worst habit of losing lip balm and ran out). So, here I am with a review of it!

Review: L'Oreal Paris One Sweep Eye Shadow

We've all have always wanted that machine that just did our hair for us, or did our makeup for us all at once. So when I seen the L'Oreal Paris One Sweep Eye Shadow, I was really curious - has our dream for easy application really came true?

Upcoming Reviews!

So, I'm going to be very blunt with you guys. I'm poor. Haha. I work very little hours at work and when I do get paid, it somehow goes towards something like gas, food, and important things at the moment.

But I have my big income tax check of $52 waiting for me when I get home, and also my check from my NAIAS Internship of about $800 coming in soon. :). Which means, LOTS OF NEW MAKEUP TO TRY AND WRITE REVIEWS ON! YAYYYYY!

Here are some products I plan on buying and reviewing:
  • L'Oreal Paris One Sweep Eyeshadow
  • Too Face Primed and Poreless Face Primer
  • (possibly) Too Faced The Bronzed & The Beautiful - French Riviera Edition
  • (possibly) Too Faced Brow Envy Brow Shaping & Defining Kit
  • MAC 187 Duo Fibre Brush
  • China Glaze Crackle Glaze (all 6)
  • Eos Organic Lip Balm
Anything you guys have seen on TV, in mags, in other blogs, anywhere, what you want me to try? Let me know!

Lady Gaga "Born This Way" Makeup

Have you guys seen Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" music video yet?! It's definitely a Gaga video, and not to mention, her makeup is phenominal.

First off, I am loving her high cheek bone contouring. It's odd, but she can pull it off so well, especially with the bright highlighting above it, and a little more contouring above that. Her eye makeup is gorgeous, too with the dramatic cat eye and thick liner. She just looks absolutely magnificent.

Her boobs are nicely contoured as well, if you don't mind me saying. lol.

She also has a scene of her as a skeleton, and let me tell you, this has got to be some of the best costume makeup design that I have ever seen. I'll let it speak for itself:

She's blowing a bubble, lol. :)

All of these images were screen shots from her music video, and I do not claim copyright for these. Just in case anybody wanted to know. :). You can watch the video here!

What do you guys think of her makeup?

My #1 Rule!

My #1 rule in doing makeup, and something I believe EVERY girl should follow.
Pick either a bold lip or a bold eye.

In my opinion, a basic cat eye is simple as long as the eyeshadow with it is very neutral and clean, without wild colors. I feel like a bold eye paired with a bright lip color makes a girl look like a clown. Please, please, please do not have a heavy smokey eye with a bright pink lipstick. It's such a pet peeve of mine.

In my photo above I did a simple cat eye with a pink lip. :)

Am I on glue, or do you guys agree?

DOUBLE Review: Sephora Collection I.T. Stippling Brush & Make Up For Ever HD Invisible Cover Foundation

When I went to Chicago (this was a few months ago, but this blog was written in the current time!) I couldn't help but stop in a Sephora. I'm addicted, I know! I needed some new foundation, and a nice new brush, so why not knock it out while I was there? I found bliss.

See the pictures of the brush & foundation after the jump!
