Trends to Try This Spring!

This is a guest blog I wrote for AskEachOther.com! Enjoy!

      1. Different prints of tights with skirts and shorts. There are so many different kinds of tights out there! They have animal print, normal black sheer, different colors of lace, polka dots, flowers, and so many more! With a pair of shorts or a skirt or dress, it can really spice up a boring look and show off your personality. You can find tights at tons of stores including Forever 21, Charlotte Russe, Wet Seal, and even Target, JC Penny, and K Mart!
      2. Wearing a satchel or cross-body bag.  Yes, it is true that Indiana Jones has one. That’s just one reason he was so awesome. Satchels and cross-body bags are perfect for ladies on the go since you don’t have to worry about balancing your bag on your shoulder as you shop or go anywhere. And we all know that it can be a huge pain in the butt trying to get stuff out of a bag stuck on your shoulder. A cross-body bag allows both of your hands to scrounge through to get what you need! Again, there are a million different bags to try. They’re available everywhere. I’ve seen a lot of cute ones for low prices at Target.

3. Try something new with your hair like braids, au naturel, and extreme parts. Low ponytails and buns were really popular on the runway, so why not spunk them up with braids? Whether it’s a single braid in a pony tail, or turning one big braid into a low bun, simple is in. This also includes your natural, messy, wavy locks. After a shower, just put a 1-1 ½ drops of defrizzing serum into your hair, then just let it do what it wants, or diffuse it until it’s how you want it. But if you’re not into your hair’s natural tendencies, try styling it with an extreme side part for an edgier and newer look. A new part will also add some volume to your roots.

Whether you’re trying a trend off the runway or finding your own inspiration, just remember one thing: Don’t forget to flaunt it! Whether you feel like you are or not, you are a super model, and whether you’re a size 3 or size 30, you’re 16 or 36, you’re short or tall: Style is suitable for everybody.

  1. Funky tights! YES for this season!

p.s. love your "Why beYOUty Queen." So true. I wish more girlies would believe that and live that.

  2. Thank you, Kate. I love that you're one of the top commenters on the blog. :) And I totally agree - if more girls felt that way, our world would be such a more positive place for females!
